Responsibilities for SHEQ Manager Job UK Huddersfield:
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Develop and maintain HSE management systems aligned with UK legislation and customer requirements
- Conduct risk assessments, RAMS, and site safety planning
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Deliver safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks
- Perform audits, inspections, and compliance checks
- Monitor HSE KPIs and reporting dashboards
- Support contractor safety management and onboarding
- Promote a strong safety culture across all teams
- Support emergency preparedness and business continuity
Quality Management
- Manage and improve Quality Management System (ISO 9001 aligned)
- Oversee document control, procedures, and inspection plans
- Handle nonconformances, complaints, and corrective actions
- Conduct internal and external audits
- Ensure quality compliance across engineering, installation, and commissioning
- Track quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement
- Support supplier and project quality assurance
Requirements for SHEQ Manager Job UK:
Essential
- NEBOSH Certificate (required)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in HSE/QHSE roles
- Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation
- Experience with ISO 9001 or integrated management systems
- Background in industrial or engineering environments
- Strong leadership, communication, and auditing skills
- Ability to manage investigations and corrective actions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Degree or IOSH certification
- Experience in manufacturing or high-risk industries (steel, chemical, glass)
