GEC is expanding its team of highly skilled professionals to keep up with the forthcoming mega infrastructure developments, building on its 25 years of successful project delivery in Kuwait and across the GCC region.

You will be instrumental in the estimation of project costs, budgeting, contract administration, and financial reporting in your capacity as a Quantity Surveyor. You will be accountable for guaranteeing that our projects are executed within the designated budget and adhere to the highest quality standards.

We are open to expatriate professionals who possess a comprehensive understanding of civil, MEP, or oil and gas quantity surveying. Kuwait offers sponsorship for work visas to competent applicants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the costs of the project by examining the architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Prepare tender documents and bill of quantities (BOQs).
  • Monitor the advancement of the undertaking and conduct cost analysis and forecasting.
  • Conduct negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors regarding pricing and contracts.
  • Deliver monthly valuation reports to the finance team and project managers.
  • Prepare claims and final accounts and manage variations.
  • Assist procurement by providing precise material forecasts
  • Guarantee adherence to safety regulations and local legislation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and site managers
  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, quantity surveying, or a related field
  • A minimum of 3–7 years of relevant experience is required. Experience in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of Kuwaiti tendering procedures and FIDIC
  • Expertise in software applications including AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Excel, and CostX
  • Outstanding negotiation, communication, and numerical abilities
  • Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage)
  • Valid passport with a minimum of 12 months remaining

  • I am amenable to working nine-hour schedules on six days per week (Friday is a day off).
